On Saturday, 20th May 2017, 2nd Polish Nationwide Congress of Militia Immaculatae Traditional Observance took place at the SSPX priory in Warsaw.
Just like before, the weather was excellent, the sun was shining all day long, and there was not even a single cloud in the sky. It was so hot (about 30°C) that the tables with apologetic materials had to be moved to the awning of the church.
The meeting began with a rosary prayer. After that, Fr. Krzysztof Gołębiewski SSPX, the shepherd of the Polish M.I., celebrated a mass and gave two lectures about the Immaculata and Her role in salvation. Fr. Gołębiewski talked about heaven, purgatory, and hell; as well as about the consequences of our choices. He stressed the fact that “nobody comes to Christ but through Mary”. He also reminded that Our Lady has given us her Immaculate Heart in Fatima as the ultimate rescue for souls. Mary has promised salvation to those who have recourse to her Immaculate Heart.
During a break, Fr. Gołębiewski held individual conversations with the faithful and encouarged the M.I. members to become involved even more in the service for the Immaculata according to the ideals of St. Maximilian. As usual, the M.I. knights from Warsaw extended their extraordinary hospitality by offering homemade bakings and delicious salads to those who had arrived.
The knights could buy new materials for apologetic purposes: flyers, blessed Miraculous Medals, and archival editions of “Triumph of the Immaculata”. The bookstore at the “Te Deum” publishing house was open all day, where one could take a look at recently published books and buy those in which he was interested.
The following newly released M.I. informational flyers attracted great interest:
— The Immaculata Mediatrix of all graces,
— The Immaculate Heart of Mary,
— The Apparition of Our Lady in Fatima.
The M.I. members retrieved the materials in large quantities in order to pass them on within their local environment and to attract as many souls to the Immaculata as possible.
A brochure about the rosary and the second part of a brochure about the apparition of Our Lady in Fatima is still being prepared.
At 3:30pm, a solemn ceremony of new M.I. knights enrollment was held. As soon as the ceremony was over, the anthem of Militia Immaculatae resounded in Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church.
During that day, the Warsaw SSPX priority was a home for more than 120 M.I. knights from all over Poland. The Militia Immaculatae in Poland earned 16 new members.
