Feb. 23, Wed: Davao CONFERENCE by Fr. Karl Stehlin on Fatima and the MI, 40 attend (20 catechists, 16 from outside, 4 others)

As a conclusion to the Feast, 27 new MIs were received.
MAC 66 — MAC 66 means Mindanao Academy of Catechism Mission to a catechism center from 6 PM – 6 AM. Evening session usually involves Rosary, then catechism then Confessions during a 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, with Confessions beginning at 9:00 PM. Then, the next morning, the Misa de Gallo is at 4:30 AM.
March sessions: There were 5 Sessions in 5 different Northern Catechetical centers for: 223 souls at the evening sessions and 183 attended the early Mass. There were 4 new MIs enrolled.
3/21 Mon: Sister Lucy Dubuis, arrives in Davao. She is a religious sister consecrated to the Immaculate and she came to Mindanao as envoy for the, to help the priests of the priory their vast apostolate. With the help of God she once will establish a “Refuge of the Immaculate”, dedicated entirely to propagate the devotion to the Immaculate and Her immaculate and sorrowful heart.

4/7 – 10: Bohol Pilgrimage, ca 700 attend. On Sunday, 100 new MIs at closing Mass of Pilgrimage.
4/11 – 16: Post-Pilgrimage Youth MI Camps intended for youth with an apostolic potential take place in Tagbiliran in Bohol. Fr. P takes the boys at Bohol South Central School while Fr. Hora takes the girls at Arnolduss Retreat Center. Young men: 22, Young girls: 32. Much smaller than past 2 years, where there were ca. 100, 50 and 50. However, much more fruitful because more specific and higher goals. Youth were graded and top scorers were awarded participation in a CHRISTIAN FORMATION WEEK AND AN IGNATIAN RETREAT which followed the Camps. 8 BOYS AND 13 GIRLS ARE SELECTED.
4/18 – 23: Catholic Formation Week for 11 boys produced 1 new MI.
4/25 – 30: Catholic Formation Week for 15 girls under direction of Sr. Lucy produced 2 new MIs.
May
5/2 – 7: General Santos Children’s Camp produces 17 New MIs from the Camp.
5/10 – 15: At Calinan childrens’ Camp, Fr. Hora enrols 14 new MIs.
5/13: In all Mindanao Catechism centers the Fatima Processions take place in which the effort is made to gather children from outside tradition. Method is to gather them at 4:00 PM, snack Catechism, Procession, Catechism, flower offering concluding merienda with activity, film showing or other. In Davao May’s activity takes place at Rizal Park and processes to People’s Park with about 100 participants.
5/13 – 14: At the request of Captain Osores who had worked with ACIM-Asia on Missions before, ACIM is invited again to support their outreach to people in Communist infiltrated areas in Leyte SAMAR. Fr. Pfeiffer participates as Chaplain and gives talk on MI to Soldiers of the 87th-Hinabang Battalion in Central-Eastern Samar. 60 People assist at 11:30 AM Mass, then 21 Officers attend 2 talks on the Miraculous Medal with a few comments on the MI. 11 Soldiers receive the Miraculous Medal. Captain Osores requests Fr. Tim to extend MI work to his hometown where his father is an official in the Barangay near the Military base located near Pagadian, at Navalan Tukuran, in Western Mindanao.
5/16 – 21: In Butuan children’s Camp 8 new MIs enrolled by Fr. Hora.
In Cagayan de Oro children’s Camp 11 new MIs enrolled by Fr. Pfeiffer.
5/23 – 28: In Davao at Calinan Retreat House Marian Retreat, 3 new MIs enrolled by Fr. Pfeiffer.

6/4 Sat: In Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao Academy of Catechism training session for record low attendance of 13 in 2 sessions. These catechists are key to spreading the MI in the Catechism centers.
6/13: Davao Fatima Procession gathers 30 for the procession, 65–70 people participate in the flower offering.
6/29 Wed – Thu: ACIM Medical Mission assisted by Fr. Pfeiffer to Samar to the 801st Battalion on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Battalion, which covers Central East and West Samar. Fr. Pfeiffer is able to talk extensively with Commander Rimando who had refused several offers to become a Mason and who is staunchly Catholic and interested in the MI among his soldiers. Fr. Pfeiffer on Wed gives introductory talk at 11:30 AM to 39 soldiers. Then 2 afternoon sessions from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM for about 20 soldiers. Then 12 confessions and 5:30 PM Mass for the Soldiers of the PM talks and a few other volunteers.
On Thu 7:00 AM Mass for about 25 soldiers, mostly a different group, followed by catechism at 8:30 AM on the MI prayer, Miraculous Medal, then the 10 commandments. At 11:20 3 soldiers pass a 10 commandment test.
The Soldiers are interested, the work in the vineyard is vast, but the labourers are too few! More follow-up is required. “Lord, send labourers into your harvest!”

MAC Mission Tour North: Iligan – Camiguin:
7/11 Mon: In Iligan strengthening of the Legion of Mary and the MI apostolate through the MAC 66 program. During Monday itself, 2 Enthronements of the Sacred Heart in the Home and 2 other House Blessings. At the MAC 66 PM Session: Mass and Catechism for 55 participants wherein a Conference on Masonry was given. At 4:30 AM Mass 24 people assist.
7/12 Tue: MAC 66 programs to strengthen the MI and the Legion of Mary are held in Camiguin In 3 different Catechism Centers. In Mambajao: PM session for 33, and 4 new MIs are enrolled. 15 people assist at 4:30 AM Mass.
7/13 Wed: In Sagay 20 people assist at Fatima Rosary procession, MAC 66 session assisted at by 8 adults, and 13 youth. At the 4:30 AM Mass, 19 assist and 3 new MIs are enrolled.
7/14 Thu: In San Miguel, MAC 66 PM session assisted by 8 Adults, and 33 children. At the 4:30 AM Mass 35 people assist and 6 new MIs are enrolled.
7/19 Mon: In Pagadian in far Western Mindanao: Marriage at 11:00 AM, 40 at Mass, 18 commuions. At MAC 66 PM Session, 19 attendees, who are mostly MIs from the first exploratory visit here one year ago. At the 4:30 AM Mass 4 new MIs enrolled and 2 children are Baptised.
7/20 Tue: Pagadian II, the place of Captain Osores is visited. His Father Leonido Osores naively organises an MI conference in the Parish Church. However, the N.O. Catechists who accompany him and meet Fr. Pfeiffer and deacon Rev. Mr. Pierre-Jean, discern Tradition, alert the Priest and arrange the cancellation of the meeting at the Church. Although Fr. Pfeiffer tries to explain Tradition….it is in vain. The Priest repeats several times “you are not Catholic”, until he finally admits, ok you are Catholic but you are not legal. Eventually, the public market, at rest at that time of the morning in this small town, is selected for the conference. There, after some standing around, Mass is organized and begun for about 40 people at 11:30 AM. A pre-sermon on the Mass, a sermon on Fatima, post Mass talk on Scapular, distribution, and then the people want to hear more, so catechism on Miraculous Medal follows and conclusion remarks on the MI lasts for several hours until MI ceremony at 3:30 PM. 28 new MIs are enrolled.
7/24 Sat: About 100 people participate in the BUTUAN PILGRIMAGE of Tradition. After 17 km, Pilgrimage ends at site of first Mass in Mindanao with about 120 in attendance. 10 new MIs are enrolled.
REPORT OF NORTHERN TOUR: 6 PM Sessions attended by 214 people, 5 Misa de Gallo attended by 118, 52 new MIs.
August
8/13 Fri: FATIMA PROCESSION in 7 Davao Catechism centers for 247 participants.
8/21 Sun: In Gensan MAC Training, Fatima Apostles Training in 2 sessions for 20 catechists.
Mission MAC 66 Tour General Santos
8/24 Wed: Gensan, FVR MAC 66: PM Session: 60 folk attend: 10 adults, 50 children. There were 14 Confessions at 9:00 PM. Misa de Gallo 32 persons with 14 communions. Topic is Miraculous Medal. No new MIs, but many are MIs already and this session is preparing the ground for future enrolments.
8/25 Thu: Gensan, ALABEL MAC 66: PM Session: 43 folk attend: 19 adults 20 children. Misa de Gallo AM for 25 people
8/26 Fri: Gensan, Kawas MAC 66: PM Session: 59 folk attend: 21 adults, 38 children. Misa de Gallo for 45 souls.
REPORT ON SOUTHERN TOUR GSC: 3 PM Sessions for 162 souls, 3 Misa de Gallo for 102 souls.
September
9/26 Mon: Butuan, at Bancasi Barangay: In preparation for the 2000 km Pilgrimage to begin in October, and pass through Butuan in January, LOM members visisted various Barangays to introduce the idea and prepare the way for Mary. Due to previous friendly contacts, the Barangay Captain of Bancasi invited to Purok leaders to several LOM catechetical sessions on the MI primer catechism and on the MI during the month of August. Finally, Mary’s Mission talk by Fr. Pfeiffer takes place on September 26 at 3:00 PM. About 50 were on hand at 3 pm and after a 45 min talk and the Rosary, 60 new MIs enrolled.
