Today being the 19th of June marks the first anniversary of the launch of the M.I. in District GB and Scandinavia by our District Superior, Fr. Robert Brucciani.
Most of the early enrolments were of the faithful attending their usual Masses. However, there are now signs of enrolments of Catholics who have been drawn to the M.I. by the graces which have flown from the Immaculata through the channels provided by Knights who have handed out flyers and Miraculous Medals obtained from their devoted local co-ordinators at the Militia Immaculata Corners in their chapels.
There are now just under 600 of us in the District. In the booklet: “Consecration to the Immaculata” by Father Director Fr. Karl Stehlin we are gently reminded on page 9 that “You are a real Knight of the Immaculata only if you endeavour to make those around you interested and passionate about her and draw them to her”. Do please pick up a few flyers and Miraculous Medals from your local co-ordinator at your next Mass, and give them out to relatives (especially adolescents), friends, workplace colleagues and wherever an opportunity presents itself.
What you will be doing is opening up a channel through which the Immaculata’s graces can flow, and the aim is to win more souls for Christ through her. She will surely help you and you might be surprised at how easy a means it is of showing Our Lady your love for her.
By fortunate co-oincidence, this week also marks the ability to purchase books on the Immaculata and on Fatima from the online bookshop with debit/credit cards or Paypal rather than having to write out and post cheques. The “Consecration” booklet mentioned above is amongst the titles on offer. P&P is a flat £2.95 whether you order one book or several but postaldispatches are restricted to GB Post Codes.
May the Immaculata bless you all and strengthen you in your zeal for recruiting more Knights.
God bless the work.
Howard Toon
District Co-ordinator for the M.I. in GB & Scandinavia
