In order to reduce this irresistible attraction to defend our rights, our claims, our pretensions in all their falseness, let us be concerned with the rights and desires of the One who is meek and humble of Heart by making reparation and making amends for the outrages we constantly inflict on Him. Meditation :

I remained standing.
The Heart crushed by the pains of my Son on the Cross, I remained standing.
The heart pierced by the insults, the injustices, the mockery of my own people, I remained standing
But when my Son, my God, the apple of my eye says to me in a creative breath: Woman, here is your son… What do you think I have done?
All of a sudden, the horror vision widened. I saw you in all your ugliness, in your deformity. I saw your impurities of all forms. I saw your slowness in loving me, your innumerable falls, your insults and even your sacrileges not only against me but even more against my Son and my God.
And what do you think I did?
The gift my Son was giving me was just one more horror! I only had one Son and He was perfect and He was God. I had offered Him my virginity, my Immaculate Conception had no reason to be except in view of His Incarnation… and now, He seemed to be throwing me far away into your darkness…
And what do you think I did?
I remained standing. Not insensitive and sterile in my pain, but generous and willing to become your Mother.
I remained standing to descend with my Son below your misery and pull you towards the light.
So what are you going to do on your own now?
