On the 23th of October 2017, Father John Timothy Pfeiffer, staff from ACIM-Asia and Legion of Mary’s from Polomolok, General Santos and Koronadal, South Cotabato conducted Militia Immaculatae in the Municipal Police Station of Polomolok, a request made by Police Officer Marie Liza Pulido.
Two weeks prior from the M.I. ceremony, I had some conversation with some of the Police Officers who said that they are receiving death threats from people who were involved in their drug bust operation or the “Operation Tokhang”, some of them told me that they are ready to die but worried for their family’s safety.
I made suggestion to always pray and invoke our Lady for protection and it would be great if they will wear a scapular to also protect them. They became very interested and asked me if it would be possible for a priest to visit them and have the scapular impose to them. We agreed that they (Police Officers) would ask their head and I will ask Fr. Tim if it’s possible and if he accommodate it. The Police Officers told me that they want it ASAP.
Two days after my conversation with the Police Officers, they said that they have the go signal from their head, I immediate conferred to Fr. Tim if it’s possible and he said that it is with conditions. I informed immediately my friend but since he also needs to rely the conditions to her superior so we have to wait for the answers from her superior. I was on my way for a retreat that time so when I got back I was bombarded with messages from my police officer friend. She actually had made the necessary preparation but got worried when she didn’t received any reply from me, although I gave her a heads-up that I will be out for a week and incommunicado.
On the day of the M.I., we started with a procession just around the police station then followed by lecture/catechism for almost an hour. The police station was then consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by PCINSP ALEX JOE ORCAJADA, Officer-In-Charged. Guest were also invited from the Local Government Unit of Polomolok.
After the consecration, Father Tim invited them to join and be a part of M.I. He explained what the M.I. is and what it entails for those who wanted to receive Our Lady. For those who cannot or would not, they may also choose to receive a miraculous medal and scapulars.
For those who didn’t want to enroll in the M.I., those who are not allowed to enroll in the M.I. and Non Catholic police and guest who wanted to receive the miraculous medal and scapular.
A total of 31 (police officers and municipal councilors) enrolled in M.I. and 62 scapulars were imposed to the police officers, municipal councilors and employees, another 30 scapulars was imposed to the prisoners inside the Municipal Police Station. Miraculous medals were also given to the police officers who asked for their love ones who were not present during the ceremony.
Their station and patrol cars were also blessed as they requested it too.
