A name is a word that tells us what people, animals and things are.
It was Adam’s mission and first task to name, identify and define each being, and to name it according to the truth and reality that imposed itself on him through the senses.
So he gave each one a name according to its species. However, only one being escaped this nomenclature, a single being for whom God Himself chose a name. This being, was conceived and created out of category, out of the ordinary, extraordinary and yet, at the same time, of divine simplicity, is the Immaculate Conception. And the Virgin’s name was Mary.
In this Name is summed up all perfection, all sovereignty, all magnificence. It sounds like a dazzling trumpet and flows like the gentle murmur of a never-sullied spring. Out of divine thought, the unique Being who bears this sweet Name returned to her Creator ennobled by all the perfection of her Fiat and Magnificat. Mary has never failed in what her Name says. Queen, princess, perfection, whiteness, purity, her name posses many synonyms .
And the Virgin’s Name was Mary.
Bring to the King’s Heart, O sweet Queen, all the prayers, desires and vows of holiness of our people, who cannot pronounce your Name without ceasing to be amazed. And if by misfortune our sins should make us forget the sweetness of your Name, to which even honey seems bitter, come and tell us again, so as to obtain divine mercy from your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
