At the end of a Lenten Retreat, Fr. Stehlin enrolled 49 new Knights in Poland.
He preached the retreat in St. Aquinas School for students and teachers. He said that each of them should be a channel through which the Blessed Mother would be able to grant favours to all people. At the same time, he emphasized that being such an instrument of Mary would change us, that the decision to serve her would become a path to heaven for ourselves.
The conferences proclaimed by Fr. Stehlin, illustrated with many vivid and illuminating examples, found a fertile ground in the attendees’ hearts, as evidenced by the fact that 29 teachers and students decided to become the Knights of the Immaculata during a solemn ceremony that was the culmination of the school’s retreat.
A few days later Fr. Stehlin preached a retreat in Olsztyn and he enrolled 20 new Knights.
