Twenty-six young Knights in U.S.

This spring, we were fortunate enough to make the consecration to the Militia Immaculatae according to St. Maximillian Kolbe. Twenty-six of the thirty-two ninth grade girls from Saint Mary’s Academy enrolled in the M.I.

news1189It was a voluntary effort, a total and selfless gift for her cause. Each girl made a separate consecration, and yet, we all were united with the same goal under her mantle. According to the spirit of the M.I., we consecrated ourselves “to work for the conversion to God of all men,” but also especially for the salvation of each other as fellow classmates.

The feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel was chosen as the enrollment date, and Fr. John M. McFarland, principal of the girls’ school of St. Mary’s Academy, performed the ceremony. It is certain that Our Lady was happier even than we, for she is our Mother and we are only her children. We beg of you to pray that we persevere in our efforts to continue in the battle to make the Immaculata the Queen of every heart. As St. Maximillian Kolbe said: “Prayer is powerful beyond limits when we turn to the Immaculata who is queen even of God’s heart.”
