Great Britain and Scandinavia

YEAR 2022

During Pentecost of 2021, the Coordinator for District GB & scandinavia broadcast an appeal to all the Knights in the District to try to recruit enough new Knights to break through the one thousand barrier by Pentecost of 2022.
A good number of new Knights were recruted, but the target was not quite reached. However, the M.I. Corner Owner in Glasgow (Scotland) made a huge effort just before the deadline, and on Sunday (29th of May) Fr. Reid Hennick enrolled 20 new Knights into the Militia Immaculatæ with the result that there are now 905 Knights on the Register. A BBQ was organised for the new recruits after the Mass and the celebrations were well prolonged.

YEAR 2021

On the week-end of December 5/6th 2021, Fr. Stehlin paid a visit to Edinburgh, capital city of Scotland, where he gave lectures about the Militia Immaculatae, its origins, and its Founder – St. Maximilian Kolbe – including time for recollection, and for confessions.

The event had been announced at parishes in the North of England, as well as at the parishes in Scotland, and it was very well attended by faithful of Polish, Scottish and English nationalities.

Fr. Stehlin’s lively deliveries were enthusiastically received by those present, and after his Saturday talks some 64 new Knights were enrolled, which provided a very welcome boost to the target of 1,000 Knights in the District by Pentecost on June 5th 2022.

As the pressure grows to suppress Catholicism (particularly Traditional Catholicism), it is essential that all Knights step up their efforts to distribute Miraculous Medals, flyers, green Scapulars (for conversions) and prayer cards via social media at every possible opportunity. This needs to be done in order to open up channels for the flow of the Immaculata’s graces into souls for their salvation for Our Lord.

On the last Sunday after Pentecost 2021 (21st November), Fr. Brucciani (District Superior for GB & Scandinavia) enrolled 9 more Knights at Gateshead and Leicester. This will raise the District total to 789.UK MISSION 2020

  • Fr. John Brucciani (Headmaster of St. Michael’s School, the District’s only Traditional Catholic School) enrolled 12 new Knights in the Chapel of St. Anne’s in Leicester,
  • and his brother Fr. Robert Brucciani (District Superior) enrolled 13 new Knights.
  • Of these, 8 were enrolled at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in Gateshead, and the other 5 at the Church of the Holy Cross in Woking, all 25 during the same weekend.
  • A further 20 Knights have been enrolled in England and Scotland of whom half owe their enrolment into the M.I. to a Knight and his wife who having been enrolled themselves wasted no time in encouraging their relatives and friends to follow in their footsteps

YEAR 2019

Towards the end of October 2019, the Director of the M.I., Fr. Karl Stehlin visited England. The purpose of the visit was to give two conferences and to meet the priests of District GB & Scandinavia. The visit was very fruitful.
After each of the conferences was the enrolment ceremony. In London the M.I. was enriched with 20 new Knights and in Burghclere — 13 KNIGHTS. To read more…

YEAR 2017

  • Fr. Robert Brucciani, District Superior for District GB & Scandinavia enrolled 2 new Knights at St. Joseph’s in London on 5 May 2017,
  • 5 new Knights at the SSPX Chapel in Manchester on 14 May,

  • On 21 May 2017 15 new Knights were enrolled into the M.I. in District GB & Scandinavia by Fr. Alphonsus C.Ss.R at St. Saviour’s Chapel in Bristol.

The growth of the apostolate in GB & S has reached a plateau for the time being. All but one of the larger parishes have now received a visit from District Superior Fr. Robert Brucciani, and their faithful have been enrolled. This has resulted in more than 520 Knights since the apostolate was launched on 19 June 2016.

Practical organization of the Apostolate of the MI

On Sunday 22nd January 2017, Fr. Robert Brucciani, District Superior of GB and Scandinavia, visited Edinburgh, the Capital City of Scotland, where he enrolled a further 34 Knights to the Militia Immaculatae. The District now has more than 500 Knights, and there are more Chapels yet to be visited.

On Sunday 23rd October, Fr. Brucciani enrolled 7 new Knights into the Militia Immaculatae at the Church of Sts. Peter & Paul at Liverpool. These 7 are loyal supporters of the Society.

On Sunday 16th October Fr. Brucciani enrolled 88 new Knights into the Militia Immaculatae at the Church of St. Andrew’s in Glasgow, Scotland. He enrolled a further 38 new Knights on the same day at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in Gateshead. These were all regular faithful who were enrolled at the first opportunity. Both of these groups are administered from the Priory of Carluke in Scotland, and the Prior, Fr. John McLaughlin, had been announcing the upcoming opportunity for several Sundays in advance to ensure that there would be a good number of faithful present.

On Sunday 18th September 2016 Fr. Brucciani enrolled 13 new Knights into the Militia Immaculatae at Bingley. This is a Mass centre and the number of faithful is small. Also, there can be no permanent “Militia Immaculatae Corner” because the building is used by other, secular, groups.

On Sunday 6th August Fr. Brucciani enrolled 3 new Knights into the Militia Immaculatae in Aalborg, which is part of the Scandinavian Apostolate of District GB.
